Hi and welcome to Galactic Quilts. I chose that name because I love the Space Program, not because the quilts are space related.

I'm 52 years old(53 on 4/1), and have worked as an OR nurse for 20+ years. Besides quilting, I knit, bead, crochet, and embroider. I don't do scrapbooking; frankly, I can't see it.

Right now I'm doing a "Foldie". The design is called Whirling Cabins. It's done in all fall colors. I'd like to get back to it, but last week's nor'ester flooded my basement; thank goodness the blocks are undamaged.
